Hello, Chicago.

Rox, we're out of milk. I'm going to go for a run to the store and pick some up, because my cookie crisp just isn't the same without it. Is there anything else you want me to get?

As soon as I look up the nearest store. Thank fuck for smartphones with GPS apps. It would be far too easy to get lost in a new city without one.

Although, is someone wants to play tour guide to a new neighbor, I wouldn't say know. Cute, male applicants only, please. It's been awhile.

Oh, Los Angeles, how I have missed you.

I love being in New York, but it's nice to get away from all the snow. I'm all for a little snow, but the amount of snow New York has been getting is insane. It makes it such a pain to get anywhere, too.

I did have a good holiday, though. Time with family, some lovely gifts, several amazing parties. I will certainly miss it in a matter of days now that I am back on the west coast. I could have stayed longer, of course, but I thought it was time I get back to work. I've been idle for far too long.

Speaking of which, my agent has handed me a script for a romantic comedy. It's disgustingly cute, but somehow I'm still enjoying it on the first read through. Maybe I'll do it. God knows I need a new project to occupy myself with and it's better than some of the other crap she's asked me to do.

I absolutely adore this time of year. I came home to New York for Thanksgiving, of course, and I decided to stick around a little bit longer since I'm still sifting through possible projects and mulling over my options. Mother and I have done an insane amount of shopping and soon there will be a series of holiday parties to attend.

I do, of course, miss the weather in LA a little bit, but there's something to be said for a tangible change in seasons. I guess even after all this time, New York City still feels very much like home. I'll be back in LA soon enough, but I'm glad I decided to stay here for the holidays.

That said, I am absolutely starving. Would anyone care to join me for dinner?

Oh, New York, how I have missed you! I love LA, but I have to admit that it's nice to be home for a while. Gray's Papaya hot dogs and good shopping and of course getting to spend time with my mother and all my old friends. I really am having a fantastic time.

Cotillion night tonight, too, of course! I had originally intended to wear purple, but Mother and I went shopping yesterday and I fell absolutely in love with this beautiful red gown. I think it will be a much more suitable choice for the occasion.

I'm off now to finish getting ready!

I always hate that restless feeling of being between projects. So work to keep me occupied, nothing interesting to get started on. Maybe I should fire my agent. She kind of sucks.

Does anyone want to go out? I'm heading off to New York in a few days to see the parents, but I need something to entertain me in the meantime.
